Tea Tuesday: Tea Indulgence

Spring Afternoon Tea Time

One of my favorites things in the whole world do is to try new tea flavors!  This one is a Chocolate tea!! Scrumdiddlyumptious! Yes, chocolate!  It’s called ChocoLate from the American Tea Room.  This is a very mild, caffeine free tea.  I think that it is perfect with a muffin or a piece of biscotti.  Also pictured is a Perfect Peanut Butter Muffin with Chocolate Hazelnut Frosting.  (hehehe it’s a secret recipe that will be revealed soon!)

Back to the tea; this is a blend of roobios tea, vanilla bean, and cacao husks!  The cacao husks give it a woodsy scent and a lingering chocolate aftertaste.  Just because it is called chocolate, don’t worry, it is fat free and sugar free!  I prefer to drink this tea unsweetened because I feel like a sweetener would take away from the chocolate taste.  If you are so inclined this could be made into a fancy latte by adding honey/agave and a splash of frothy nut milk.

Tea time is one of my favorite things to share with you.  Not only is there so much history and flavors to explore, but tea has the power to take your mind to another place.  Tea gives us the power to be content with ourselves…at least that is how I see it.  When tea becomes a ritual, it takes its place at the heart of our ability to see greatness in small things.  (maybe a little chocolate didn’t hurt either)
