Simply Spiced Raw Applesauce

Simply Spiced Raw Applesauce. Vegan and SOS-Free (Salt, Oil, Sugar)

This apple sauce is the easiest treat you will ever make!  I love recipes where I can just throw everything into a blender and then VOILA appears a delicious gourmet meal!  I used three types of apples in this recipe to create the perfect blend of sweet and tangy.

This applesauce is quite versatile.  If you don’t want cinnamon, leave it out.  If you want nuts, add them.  If you want to use a different apple, go for it! Let your imagination be your guide! This was just my favorite combo!

Studies have shown an inverse relationship between the consumption of apples and several cancers.  The peels of  the apple contain exceptionally large amounts of antioxidants and strong anti-cancer compounds! Never discard your apple peels.  No apples for you unless you eat the peel!  Enjoy this simple and delicious Fat-Free treat!!

Ingredients

2 Fuji Apples, peel on

1 Red Delicious Apple, peel on

1 Granny Smith Apple, peel on

Juice of 1 Lemon

5 Dried Figs, soaked (I use Made in Nature Organic Calimyrna Figs)

2 Medjool Dates, pitted, soaked

1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon

Raw Hemp Seeds (optional)

Nuts of your choice (optional)

Directions

1.  Soak the Figs and Dates in water for about 15 minutes.

2.  Slice the Apples and place into Vitamix or high powered blender along with lemon juice and cinnamon.

3.  Strain the dried fruit and place into the blender. (Remember to pit the dates, and cut the little stem off the figs!)

4.  Puree on high until smooth!

5.  Chow time! YUM! It’s that easy!
